The game tells the story of Stanley, an average man who finds solace in his simple mundane office job. More specifically, what would happen if you could disobey their rules? Its creator Davey Wreden said that he set out to discover something about video games that hadn't been explored yet.
The Stanley Parable was originally developed as a Source engine mod back in 2010. Every once in a while, it's nice to come across a game that you weren't expecting, the kind of game that creeps up on you and then stays with you long after you've finished playing.
